One of the great advantages of Virtual Fisio and its video game FitJaw is that patients are enabled to continue their own treatment at home. You just need to have our mobile app installed on your phone and a VR headset for smartphones. It is so easy to continue your rehab exercises at home and improve your TMJ disorder free of pain and full of fun.
There are two possibilities: download the app for a standalone VR headset such as Oculus Quest, or for smartphones working with Android operating system.
1) If you have an Oculus Quest VR headset, you just download and install the video game via the SideQuest or a similar platform.
2) However, if you have a smartphone with Android operating system, you just need to download the video game on your mobile phone. You will have it installed directly in a few seconds.
Make sure that your smartphone features a gyroscope functionality to track user’s head movements. The best VR headset for smartphones is Google Cardboard VR of which there is a wide range of models and prices. Although Google Cardboard VR headset is suitable for most of the smartphones, we recommend that you check compatibility with your own smartphone model.
Step 1. Download and install the application on your mobile phone.
Step 2. Place your mobile phone in the VR headset for smartphones (in the image, the Google Cardboard).
Step 3. Adjust the VR headset to see clear images and start the videogame FitJaw.
Step 4. Now, execute your TMJ exercises free of pain and full of fun.
To sum up, the patient would only need to install our mobile app on his mobile phone and have a Virtual Reality headset for smartphones at home. That way the patient will be able to continue the treatment for his TMJ disorder at home.
